Wianki nad Wisłą (Garlands on the Vistula) 2025—a magical night of tradition and music in the heart of Warsaw

‘Wianki nad Wisłą’ is one of Warsaw’s most spectacular outdoor events, drawing tens of thousands of people every year. The event has its roots in Slavic traditions related to Kupala Night—the festival of fire, water and love. In 2025, it will be held at the Multimedia Fountain Park on Saturday, June 21, starting at 1 p.m.

During the day, the organisers, Stołeczna Estrada, have created many attractions—including concerts and workshops introducing the atmosphere of the summer festival. In the evening, a spectacular concert will take place on the Vistula River featuring both Polish and foreign stars, which will be broadcast on television. The whole event will be enriched by the traditional floating of garlands out onto the river, as well as—like every year—the festival’s unique atmosphere. ‘Wianki nad Wisłą’ is a great opportunity to feel the magic of old Slavic rituals in a modern setting. The event will take place at the Multimedia Fountain Park, surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the Warsaw waterfront, near the Old Town, further enhancing its unique character. It’s the perfect opportunity to spend an unforgettable night full of music, dance and joy.

The celebration of this year’s Wianki nad Wisłą will start with outdoor attractions for the whole family. The Slavic village, which Podzamcze (the area beneath the castle) turns into on that day, will be full of things to do. Attendees will be able to take part in events including workshops on weaving garlands from fresh flowers, as well as trying their hand at Slavic craftwork. The rich offer of attractions, games, workshops and demonstrations of old-world crafts has something for everyone, big and small. In line with tradition, participants will make a huge garland together that will be floated down the Vistula to herald the start of summer.

This year’s festival will be unique—the concert will be divided into two parts. The first, entitled ‘We all sing to Warsaw,’ will be a tribute to the capital. An evening of high emotion is in store—tens of thousands of people will sing ‘Warszawa da się lubić’ (an ode to Warsaw) together, as well as many other immortal songs about the capital. The second part, the concert ‘Wianki nad Wisłą—Muzyka nad wszystko’ (‘Garlands on the Vistula—Music Above Everything’) will have a European flavour, and the artists will be announced soon.

Take part in the June event and see for yourself what attractions the organisers have arranged this year.
