State Ethnographic Museum

Founded in 1888, it is the oldest museum of this type in Poland. Its collections gather together exhibits from Polish and world folk culture.

In the largest permanent gallery ‘Celebration Time’ you can see folk costumes and festive clothing from Poland and Europe, paintings, sculptures, Christmas decorations and props.

The ‘Order of Things’ presents tools related to agricultural work, animal breeding and other ways of obtaining food such as foraging, fishing and beekeeping.

At the ‘Biblia Pauperum’ exhibition you will see the best works from the museum’s collection of biblical motifs of salvation present in folk art.

Also visit the Korean Gallery, which is a replica of a traditional Korean home. When you enter, you will feel like you are in Asia.

The museum also organises temporary exhibitions.
