Sky-high bars and restaurants with a view of Warsaw

The famous viewing platform on the 30th floor of the Palace of Culture and Science is not the only place from where you can admire the Warsaw panorama. Below you will find a list of places where you can eat, drink, dance or listen to a live concert while savouring the Warsaw skyline. They include luxury cocktail bars of hotel roofs, restaurants recommended by the Michelin guide, and even a café with the music of Chopin. They are great for a date, business meeting or evening out with family or friends.

The highest bar in Poland with an elegant, slightly industrial interior. It is easy to get there – it is situated on the top floor of the Marriott skyscraper opposite Warsaw Central railway station. From the bar’s window you will see the eastern and northern parts of the city. Seen from here, it looks like you could reach out and touch the Palace of Culture. Its early opening hours mean you can eat lunch here.

A cocktail bar in the clouds with an external terrace atop one of the towers of The Warsaw Hub. Sample drinks named after the world’s tallest buildings, served at a height of 86 metres. For dancing, come here on a Saturday or Sunday, when outstanding musicians perform live here. The bar is open to adults only.

A café open in the summer season on the roof of one of Warsaw’s first modernist tenement buildings, home to former President Stanisław Wojciechowski and former Foreign Minister Roman Dmowski before the war. Today it houses a boutique hotel known for the regular live Chopin concerts it organises. In the summer you can listen to them while enjoying a coffee or biscuits and admiring the Warsaw skyline.

A restaurant located on the second highest storey of an exclusive department store, recommended by the Michelin guide. Here you can savour international cuisine. Both from inside and from the terrace open in the summer, you can admire wonderful views of Warsaw. At weekends between the hours of 12.00 and 18.00 there are fun and games for children under the care of professional child minders.

Located on a small terrace on the second floor of the renovated Powiśle Power Station. Get here from the Beauty Hall filled with cosmetic salons. Worth reserving in advance due to the small number of tables. A cosy atmosphere and stunning view of Warsaw’s right bank – what more could you ask for?

A stylish cocktail bar on the roof of the Varso 1 high-rise building, in the neighbourhood of the EU’s tallest skyscraper – Varso Tower. Only a huge sheet of glass separates it from the edge of the building. See how the capital’s tall buildings, the nearby Rondo Dmowskiego or the farther removed Wola district look at a height of 80 metres. DJs regularly perform here in the evenings. You can only visit this chic open-air cocktail bar in season. Make sure it is open before visiting, as it depends on the weather.

The nightclub on the 27th floor of Atlas Tower is recognised by the ‘Big 7 Travel’ guide as one of the 50 most interesting bars in Europe. Open at weekends. On Fridays and Saturdays dance parties rave here till dawn. In the summer you can welcome the sunrise here with Warsaw as the backdrop.

A bar on the top floor of the designer hotel of the Polish Puro brand, distinguished by multiple Warsaw themes. It is surrounded by the captivating view of Warsaw city centre, dominated by the Palace of Culture at its heart. Here you can try cocktails named after paintings by well-known Polish artists.

A restaurant recommended by the Michelin guide, located on the 6th floor of the Warszawa hotel serving European food prepared in front of the guests. If you are unsure which to choose, order the tasting menu made up of five dishes. From the viewing deck running along Świętokrzyska Street, you can enjoy the Warsaw panorama.
