Museum of Caricature

This museum will improve your mood. It holds over 20,000 items in its collection. These are mainly satirical drawings, caricatures, paintings and sculptures, from the eighteenth-century to the latest well-known artists such as: William Hogarth, Honoré Daumier, Roland Topor, Eryk Lipiński, Andrzej Czeczot, Andrzej Dudziński, Szymon Kobyliński, Andrzej Krauze, Edward Lutczyn, Andrzej Mleczko, Sławomir Mrożek, Marek Raczkowski and Henryk Sawka.

The museum building is a former orangery from the second half of the 18th century. The originator, founder and first director of the museum was Eryk Lipiński – an outstanding caricaturist, satirist, journalist and graphic artist.

The museum was in the top ten of the best unique museums in Europe according to The Guardian.

Jednopiętrowy, niewielki, budynek z wnęką wejściową nad którą wisi czarny szyld w kształcie kredki zakończonej czapą błazna. Po lewej stronie stoi słup reklamowy.
