International Cochran Music Festival

The festival celebrates the music of Julian Cochran, an Australian composer, pianist, and mathematician, whose works blend Romantic expression, rich harmonies, and influences drawn from Impressionism and European folk traditions. His compositions have been performed in some of the world’s most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall in New York and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. The composer himself will travel from Adelaide especially to attend this year’s festival.
The concert will feature a captivating programme of solo, chamber, and orchestral works, including world premieres of new compositions by Julian Cochran, performed by outstanding artists from Poland and abroad.

Taking the stage will be Ryelandt Trio, an award-winning Belgian chamber ensemble renowned for its dedication to rediscovering Flemish music; Piotr Grelowski, pianist and First Prize winner of the 2016 International Cochran Piano Competition; Tomasz Kłeczek, pianist and harpsichordist, founder of the early music ensemble ECHO, which received a 2026 Fryderyk Award; Krzysztof Wierciński, prizewinner of international piano competitions and participant in the 19th International Chopin Piano Competition; and the Energy Chamber Orchestra, a string orchestra founded by distinguished violinist Paweł Zalejski, bringing together exceptional musicians of the younger generation.
